Vie Van Noy, M.S.
Program Director
Vie obtained her Master's Degree in Health Education with a Certificate in Gerontology at Brigham Young University. While there and at Utah Valley State College, she taught Health and Wellness, Fitness for Life, Aerobics, and First Aid and Emergency Care as an adjunct professor. In addition, Vie has instructed Violence Prevention and Substance Abuse Prevention courses in grades K-8 in Mountainview School District in Idaho. Her experience in association with Youth and Family Programs at BYU for four years and as a Coordinator for the Especially for Youth Program, coordinating programs nationwide, is an asset to her position as Program Director.

Richard Moody, Ph.D.
Psychologist
"Doc" received a Masters Degree in Counseling and Physiological Psychology and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Utah State University. He is a fellow of International College of Prescribing Psychologists, a member of American Psychological Association and the Substance Abuse Network, and has been a Professor at Utah Valley University.Specializing in the assessment and treatment of adults and adolescents, Doc has established three residential youth treatment programs in Utah. He is the co-founder of TurningLeaf Wellness Center where he focuses on depression, anxiety, and addictions recovery.
Dr. Moody's career accomplishments encompass working with the Department of Corrections in Southern Utah, the Board of Pardons, Fifth District Adult and Juvenile Courts, more than two decades of private practice and seven years with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
Doc keeps active by playing racquetball, hunting, working in his yard, growing fruit trees and spending time with his family.
David B.Tate, PHD
Psychologist
Dr. David Tate has been in private practice in St. George, Utah for the last 15 years and has been with The Bridge Recovery Program since nearly its inception. Dr. Tate has taught Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction classes for 25 years in a variety of settings, including as the initial lead mindfulness teacher and the Program Director at Miraval, Life in Balance, as well as consulting and teaching at other resorts. He has also provided consultations and trainings for businesses including Nike, Ernst and Young, New Line Cinema, Abbott Laboratories, AT&T, the national Make-A-Wish Foundation, the NCAA, and many other businesses and health care groups locally and nationally.Dr. Tate's doctoral dissertation research was done at Intermountain Health Care in Salt Lake City, Utah. The program he developed was one of the first of now hundreds of programs patterned after the world-famous University of Massachusetts Medical Center Stress Reduction Program. It was cited at the time by Dr. Tate's mentor, Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, as "the oldest, largest and best replication of our program." Dr. Tate has taught thousands of people how to access their own internal resources for healing and growth, and how to cultivate greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and consciousness. Commenting on his teaching, Elizabeth Rapoport, executive editor at Times Books/Random House, observed: "Dave's remarkably aphorism-free approach is very winning...as Dave guides us with gentleness and good humor." Dr. Tate's teaching has been described as "exceptional," "inspiring," and "transformative."
Sue Judd, M.S.S., L.S.A.C

Sue holds a Masters degree in Social Sciences from Utah State University. Her certifications include: NAADAC (National Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors, NAADAC (National Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors), AUSAP (Association of Utah Substance Abuse Counselors) and ICADC (International Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor).Sue's dedication to treating individuals with substance abuse issues spans more than two decades. She has been involved in administration, treatment review, and direct treatment for addiction recovery in both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as working on college campuses in education and prevention where she completed specialized training in dual diagnosis and mood disorders, pain and stress management, and holistic health.
Sue's belief in Holistic and alternative health led her to train with well-known Jon Kabat-Zinn, founding director of the Stress Reduction Clinic and the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and a founding member of Cambridge Zen Center.
Kolene Granger, Ph.D.

Kim Nally
Yoga Instructor and Hiking Guide
Kim is a certified Yoga Instructor, having received her RYT 200 in 2008 and her RYT 500 in 2009 through Ian Whites Brahman Yoga School. Kim loves to share her passion for yoga, and teaches from the heart. She offers a gentle yet empowering approach to her teaching, encouraging a non-competitive atmosphere. She teaches Yin Yoga, Gentle Vinyasa, and Power Vinyasa Yoga and has taught in several locations in the St George area starting in 2005. She currently teaches at BeHot Yoga Studio in St George, in Ivins City at the Unity Park and for The Bridge. Kim has also had the privilege since October 2009 of teaching Children's Yoga at Vista Charter School. Paul Dunsdon, LMT
Lead Massage Therapist
Paul Dunsdon is nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) and is a licensed massage therapist. In private practice since 2009 he specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation and injury prevention. He continues to work with elite athletes of all ages as the massage captain for Ironman St George and the St George Marathon. He has also worked as the lead therapist for the Huntsman World Senior Games and Dixie Rebels Semi-Pro Football team.His passion for helping people extends beyond the work day as he volunteers his free time to the American Red Cross. As Disaster Action Team Coordinator he is on call 24/7 and oversees the disaster services of 5 southwest counties in southern Utah and is qualified for national deployment in disaster relief. He is a certified instructor of CPR, FIRST-AID & AED.

Pat Matthews is a licensed acupuncturist who lives and works in the St. George area. She studied acupuncture at The International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. She completed her first internship at St. Vincent's Hospital in Santa Fe, NM, working with post- surgical and stroke patients. She also completed another internship at the ChengDu University Hospital of Chinese Medicine in ChengDu, Sichuan, China. Nate Van Noy, B.S.

Nate started creating art at a very young age. By 14-years old, he was receiving pottery lessons under the instruction of John Takahara, reknowned artist and professor at Boise State University. His love and uncanny ability for seeing and understanding 3-dimensional shapes led Nate to an early career path machining. He is a Journeyman Machinist and Tool Making with over 15 years of experience in the field. Most of his work has been spent working on military and aircraft parts. He has received awards from Chrysler as well as a 3rd Place finish in a national invention competition. He obtained his degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Brigham Young University. He has owned his own businesses as a CNC Lathe shop owner, a professional tile setter/mason and a timber sawyer, making rustic wood flooring. Nate loves to work with all types of materials and has created a number of architectural art pieces of clay, copper, and mosaic tile. He has recently started to work with Ed Hlavka, a nationally recognized sculptor.
