Dr. Daren Brooks, DO, MS
President/Founder, Mind/Body Medicine
Daren Brooks began his college career at Dixie College and graduated with honors. He later attended BYU where he earned a pre-med B.S. in exercise science/zoology, and an M.S. in Health Psychology, and was voted valedictorian. He graduated from medical school and is a practicing D.O. He also spent time studying culture and human relations in the Middle East. Daren is a certified gerontologist and taught stress management/mind-body medicine for over 5 years at BYU. He had further teaching experience as an adjunct professor at Dixie College and SUU (Southern Utah University) teaching diet/nutrition classes and microbiology laboratory.
Daren is a private pilot and has completed multiple Ironman events. He is credited with bringing Ironman to St. George Utah. Daren has held consulting contracts with IBM, Kodak, Cisco, Coca Cola, Zilog, Hughes, United Space Alliance and other companies in the areas of productivity and mind-body health. He currently teaches stress management sessions at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston and has, to date, been the only mind/body provider allowed to spend individual time with astronauts, mission control and mission operations personnel. As founder of The Bridge, Daren has enjoyed the journey of building the business but readily acknowledges that the unbelievably talented staff and their dedication are the reason the program has been so successful over the last 16 years.
